LAS VEGAS!
A few weeks ago I took the kids to Las Vegas for a little vacation with my parents and sister's family. Unfortunately Josh wasn't able to join us this time.
But I"m excited to share a few photos from our trip!

Vancouver Performing Stars
My girls love coming here weekly for their dance classes. Not only is the studio brand new and beautiful, but the owner Katy is the sweetest and most dedicated teacher. And with classes like performing Princesses, you can't really go wrong!

DIY FAIRY 'SPRINKLE' DUST
When Maddie and I decided on the theme for her 5th birthday party, I loved the idea of a Woodland Fairy Tea Party. We took some themes and elements she really truly loves at her age right now and incorporated it into a sweet party theme.
As I got to thinking more about what we were going to do with the kids and how to decorate the party, an idea came to me as we were shopping for the party. I found these adorable mini glass bottles at the dollar store that I was thinking would be perfect to put some glitter in as fairy dust. (So cute, right?) But as I thought about it more, I decided that an even sweeter idea would be to add some sprinkles into the glass bottles as fairy sprinkle dust. And it gives the girls the chance to actually use it in something edible!
MATERIALS
Small Clear bottles (with cork stopper)
Sprinkles
I made my own mix of sprinkles from a bulk store! It included plain pink sprinkles, plain white sprinkles and mini star shaped sprinkles. I mixed them all together and voila!

DIY FAIRY WANDS
Handmade touches to birthday parties always makes me so happy! I love creating little things that I know my kids will enjoy and love. Especially when it's so easy!
I was brainstorming like crazy once we decided on a fairy tea party theme, and I really wanted to make some pretty wands for the girls to play with.
Originally I wanted to find some wooden toppers (like a star wand) but after visiting many many many dollar and craft stores, I wasn't able to find what I was imagining. So I thought some more and decided that some simple wands with ribbons would have to do.
MATERIALS
Long Wood sticks
Glue gun
Ribbon (a variety of colors and widths)
Scissors
