SIMPLE PICNIC SETTINGS

No summer outing is complete without a little picnic. My kids have been asking to go on a picnic for so long now and I couldn't wait to share this fun little picnic with them.

I packed a few fun little treats for them - soda pop, candy & popcorn. Not included in the pictures are sandwiches and veggies/fruits. 

I found the cutest mini wicker baskets second hand! Added some fun treats and personalized them with some handwritten tags. 

This would be so cute for a little dinner party, backyard bbq or outside movie night!

We couldn't wait and decided to do a quick little picnic right on our front porch!

STRAWBERRY PICKING ADVENTURES

One of my absolute favourite summer activities has to be berry picking at our local farms. Just something about it feels like the start of summer. And I love it! Even when leave sweaty, sandy, hot and sticky. It's just the best. 

Luckily we went before our local heatwave, but it was still a hot little day! 

It was Annie's second time coming with us, and this time it was just SO magical! She loved eating the ripe berries and couldn't ask us fast enough to pick them for her. Her tummy was so full after out adventure. 

And convincing an eleven year old boy to come and join in wasn't easy, but I love that we all got to go together.

FESTIVE DIPPED ICE CREAM CONES

It's officially summer, and I feel like the kickoff always falls right around Canada Day long weekend. 

We made these dipped ice cream cones last year as well and they were such a hit. They are super simple to make and I like that they're perfect for summer bbq's. 

My kids tell me they're the best ice cream cones ever, each time we make them!
