EASTER INITIAL DIY TAGS

Easter Initial tags

I purchased some simple wood tags from Michaels a few weeks ago. I loved our previous painting projects so much I decided to try something similar. I love the idea of personlizing the kids Easter baskets this year, and thought this would be so fun to create together. I love how you can really personlize it with their favorite colours, and it's something you can use year after year.

The materials were all from Michaels and they were SO affordable. I believe the letters came in a pack of 2 for $2.99 and the tags were $0.49

Let the kids get creative on colour combos and let them paint their tags and letters. Once dried, all you have to do is hot glue them together. I added some twine to attach to a basket. That's it!

1. Gather your wood tags, wood initials, paint and paint brushes.
2. Start painting everyting!  I suggested colour combos that go well together...and all in pastel colours. But there are so many colour combos that would look really pretty and fun. I suggest painting all sides of the letters and tags. It makes it look more finished and complete.
3. Let dry a few hours. Then use your glue gun and glue the letters to the tags. Add wtine, and you're ready to go. Easy!

The added bunnies to my baskets were from Homesense from a few years ago. But pom pom and tassels would be a cute addition to the tags. And leaving them plain is just as good too!

All you need to do now is attach to any easter basket. I found these berry baskets at Target in the Dollar Spot, and decided to use these ones. I like that theyre smaller than a traditional basket, and I can see them being used in our house all year round to gather up little items.
