CHRISTMAS SUGAR COOKIES

One of my favorite days of the holidays is baking sugar cookies and decoarting them.

It's one of those days where I have to hold my toungue and accept that lots of sugar will be consumed. And I mean alot!

But the kids love doing it, and it makes my creative heart so happy to see their little creations. Each year they look different, but I love seeing the magic that happens while they ice and decorate them.

GINGERBREAD DECORATING

We look forward to this each year!

My mom got the kids their own sets of houses and people this year and let them decoarate to their little hearts content. I love seeing what they all end up looking like. Alot (and I mean alot!) gets eaten by these little ones.

I did a fun, simple set up for the kids this year. I used kraft paper as a runner, and then plated the gingerbread houses onto their own plates. I added the cutes little wood name tags as a special little touch. I love that I can use these year after year.

I took out all the candies from the boxes and placed them into bowls, along with sprinkles I had at home.

I love seeing their sweet creations. Like little pieces of art that we get to keep for the holidays!

HOLIDAY CHARCUTERIE

I love setting up little Charcuterie boards. They're so pretty to look at, easy to eay, and everyone loves them. And I mean everyone!

The best little set up for little hands who want to try a little bit of everything. Adding in some festive decorated cookies (we got ours from a local baker! But I've seen fun ones at local grocery stores too!) adds in that festive look.

The key to a really great looking charcuterie board, is to make sure you really pile up your snacks and make sure you fill in all the little holes. This really gives the illusion of a full board.

I love paringing the cookies with other bite sized snacks like donuts, candy canes, strawberry wafers (my kids love them!) and marshmallows. Add a side of milk or hot cocoa for kids and tea/coffee for adults, and you've got the perfect snack board.

CHRISTMAS PARTY

Oh my, Deember is just flying by! I know I say this each year, but it really does feel that way.

This year's Christmas party is sure looking different. We would usually invite a few special friends over, but this year we're sticking to a small fun afternoon with just our kids. I love doing something fun and magical for them over the holidays, and nothing is more fun than an afternoon of treats & snacks.

Love that a simple little party set up like will be something they remmeber year after year!

So thankful to the amazing small shops that made this Christmas magic happen.
