Ok, and lets's get down to the food items!
I love to have a cute looking party, but to me food is a pretty important part. I'm always trying to find a fine line between simple and easy, with something yummy. I decided on some simple soups, mini croissants and salads - which I thought was a fun way to incorporate some veggies and bunny-loving foods to our menu. My sweet mother-in-law brought her home-made carrot soup and I made a batch of creamy tomato soup. My mom and I made 3 salads as well (greek pasta salad, mexican bean salad and a simple fruit salad). I put the salads into big glass jars which I thought looked so cute all lined up. We served our usual party favorite snacks - chips, popcorn & veggie straws.
And for the dessert, I made carrot cake cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. I iced them with just a knife which gave them a more casual look. Ellie loved the cupcakes! She licked off all the icing, handed me the plain cupcake and declared that she was all done. Hah! She already knows the best part of cupcakes.
We packed up bags of goodies as thank you's for our little friends who came to celebrate with us. I found cuuutest little bunny socks at the dollar section at Target before Easter, so I stocked up. I was also able to pick up some adorable bunny erasers and gummies which worked SO well with the theme. And my sweet friend from Charm of Three made the prettiest little pink bead bracelets as well.
We were so lucky to be able celebrate with our family and friends! Our little Ellie is SO loved!
