HOUSEWARMING GIFTS & PRETTY WINE WRAPPING

One of my besties recently bought a new home and has been doing renos for the last 2 months. Its still not a finished product yet, but we popped in for a summer visit on the weekend.

I wanted to bring her a small housewarming because it was the first time we had visited her new home. We decided on a half apron from a local shop, cute pot holders, handled cutting board and some BC wine. I love giving small kitchen items. I find that personally I usually don't purchase house and homewares for myself that often, and it's always a special treat when someone gifts it to me!

As I was putting it together, I came up with a super cute way to package the wine. (It sure tastes good, but the bottles never actually look good!)

I usually have a little stash of tea towels that I have yet to break into around the house. I ended up wrapping the bottle in one of my unopened tea towels for a super cute look. I added a rubber elastic band around the neck of the bottle to keep it in place, and then tied some baker's twine around to finish it off. So cute! (Pretty sure I'll be trying my hand at wrapping all sorts of goodies now using tea towels...I'm envisioning bottles, jam jars, cookbooks, candles....)

Hope this gives you a little gift inspiration. Happy wrapping!
