VALENTINES PUPPY PAW-TY!

Valentines Day is one of my favorite little holidays! Pink and red all over couldn't make me any happier. And with little ones, it's been even more fun celebrating this love-filled holiday.

My girlfriend Jessica of This Sweet Happy Life and I planned a sweet little puppy inspired Valentines Party for our daughters and a couple friends. Jessica was inspired by some adorable puppy accessories she spotted at Target, and the theme and idea started to grow from there!

We threw the party at her beautiful home and worked on some easy DIY elements to keep the party cost to a minimum. I made the heart paper straws and cupcake toppers one evening at home. Jessica worked on the pink backdrop for the dessert table the evening before the party. And we shared the task of making the food, snacks and crafts for the kids. Two girlfriends planning a party is definitely better than one!

After the girls arrived at the party, we got started with painting these adorable wooden puppy stands. We used pastel valentines inspired colors and the girls got to work on their little creations. They turned out so cute too!

Then we served the girls little snacks. The dessert table is obviously the favorite, but we offered croissant sandwiches first before all the treats.

The backdrop for our party was such a creative idea made from Dollar Store plates and banners. We couldn't pass up the opportunity to deck the house in girls pinks and reds. Our dessert table consisted of the cuuuuutest cookies by Shea's Sweet Shoppe. She's a local mama who makes the cookies from her home, and they were really SO yummy! (And look at those adorable puppy and bone cookies!) Jars of cold milk were the perfect drink to go with the sweets. We also had mini cupcakes, puppy chow, pretzel sticks and shortbread cookies,

We love sending our little guests home with little goodies to remember the party by. We though that little puppies to adopt would be perfect to go with the theme. And we got the girls to make little puppy collars (which were really just stretchy bracelets) that they could wear themselves or put around their pups. They really loved the idea of putting them on their puppies!

The little gift bags for the guests which included their newly adopted puppies & collars, their painted puppy art, gummy & heart candies, puppy pencils/erasers and stickers.

Jessica and I really loved planning this Puppy Valentines Party together and it was such a hit with the little ones. (Going with a theme of puppies - that they already love - really helped as they were really able to get into the whole theme!) Hope this party gives you a bit of inspiration if you're considering throwing your own Valentines party!

And look at this lovely duo!
