On a rainy day we'll usually start the Public Market as well as the Children's Market. The public market has so many amazing vendors to look at including fruits and veggies, beautiful flowers, candy shops, bakeries and handmade goodies.
My favorite stop is at the Granville Island Tea Company.
They have the best Masala Chai and I try to get it as often as I can. Watching them make it is so interesting too. They steep the tea, add a dollop of butter/spices and blend it all up. Its so delicious. And I try to get the kids a treat as well - usually a cookie from the bakery or a donut from Lee's Donuts. They are really yummy there - simple but good. Ben loves sprinkles or chocolate, and the girls love strawberry.
And when it's nice and sunny out we'll walk around all over and end up at the park and splash pad. (The splash pad is free and there's a slide as well in the summer that is really really fun!) Ellie loves the sand area too. It gets messy, but it often buys me an hour or more of just watching them play. In my opinion, the mess is worth it!
