Ben is headed to Grade 2 this year! He was a bundle of nerves the first day. He was really excited to see friends we missed all summer, nervous about what to expect, and was feeling unsure about speaking in front of the class. But at the end of the day, he came out of his classroom with a big smile on his face! I was so proud and happy for him.
The week before back to school I thought about sending him off to school with some little goodies for him. I got him a lego keychain for his backpack, a few books, treats and games for him to play. That morning when we were having breakfast, we surprised him with a paper bag with the goodies, and wrote him a little note telling him we loved him and that we hoped he had a great year.
Already he's told us he's learning so much in class (including french!) and how excited he is. We can't wait for another fun year of playing and learning!
